Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to explore factors determining coverage status in the personal pension for the middle-aged and elderly in korea. Despite the fact that coverage status in the personal pension of the middle-aged and elderly was more serious than any other demographic group, this important issue was rarely studied. So I analyzed causal relations and factors determining coverage status in the personal pension for the middle-aged and elderly by longitudinal study. As a result, it is shown that there were women, older, housewifes about coverage status in the personal pension. These vulnerable social groups doesn`t retain coverage status in the personal pension during a certain period steadily. Such results suggest that the policy of coverage status in the personal pension for the middle-aged and elderly the policy of the coverage status of them which is only focused on the middle-aged and elderly`s characteristic is limited for the higher-income group. The implications of the public and private pension system policy for the middle-aged and elderly were suggested in several ways.
